WHO CAN PUT THE FIRE OUT?
The world is on fire
and bleeds over ice
and flames of greed.
Agape mouths search
for something lost.
Human beings sleep
on deserted streets.
They fart in our face,
look us straight
in the eye and lie.
Tyrants wave flags
and beat drums.
Tombstones sprout—
the sun has died,
and snow turns black.
Faces glare, nobody cares
or hears our retching.
Sex has lost its heat—
life is a botched abortion.
No groans of the typhoon
of love can be heard.
Blindfolded, I see another world
with eyes in the back of my head
Alone, in recurrent dreams,
I ride a white dolphin
to the color of music.
The underground
has not re-surfaced.
